Thailand renowned beside all grandeur, the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol's increase to the royal chair. Termed as the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, Thai King's 60th day celebrations built-in a train of events describing the period of time of King Bhumibol.
King Bhumibol ascended the head of state chair in 1950 after the ill-timed decease of his brother, King Ananda Mahidol. Since then, he has been the longest helping head of state in the Thai times of yore. He initiated various biological process projects for the welfare of the relations of Thailand and is the most venerable emperor of Thailand.
Several worldwide dignitaries were solicited during the five-day extended celebrations. Prominent among them reckon the United Nations Secretary-General Mr. Kofi Annan, Japan's Emperor Akihito, Queen Beatrix of Netherlands and UK's Prince Andrew. During the Thai King's 60th Anniversary Celebrations, King Bhumibol was reputable with the esteemed United Nations First Human Development Lifetime Achievement Award. The gem jubilee celebrations integrated the Royal barge rise on Chao Phraya River, fireworks displays, foxtrot and song competitions, pompous feasts and art exhibitions.

On the eve of Thai King's 60th Anniversary Celebrations, nigh on 25,000 prisoners were given kindness and released. In the accolade of their King, the culture of Thailand re-formed a three-month eternal International Botanical Exhibition and an Official Royal Flora Expo in Chiang Mai Province.
Addressing the local convention on this occasion from the porch of Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall, King Bhumibol urged his countrymen and his subjects to maintain united since one and only wholeness can bring economic condition to the state. The celebrations were officially out of use on January 16, 2007.
